A public school district’s timely and relevant communication to parents and the community is essential. Sharing information often requires information sharing between departments that don’t often need to interact otherwise. In 2016, we had the honor of working with the Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) web team to build a web tool for the public that uses data from the CIP department.
The tool, Find My School, allows users to visualize school locations and their boundaries. Visitors to the site can search for a school by name and identify elementary, middle, and high schools for a specific address. For those selected schools, visitors can then access contact information and get directions.
Maintenance & Support
As changes are made to school locations and boundaries, we work with the web and CIP teams to make sure changes are reflected in an accurate and timely manner.
