The Town of Taylor’s cemetery had been managed by the same person for decades, and they were ready to retire. We were hired to migrate them to a new map-based system that would be easier for someone else to maintain.
Implementation
We worked with the existing caretaker to understand their existing system and workflows. With the workflows properly documented, we designed and built a geospatial database to store plot ownership and burial information.
Cartography & Mapping
With the completed database, we built a secure web app using ArcGIS Online that allows the plot ownership and burial information to be managed via a map display. Our team built an additional web map to allow the public to search for loved ones and identify available plots.
Maintenance & Support
We provide ongoing support, training, and map books to the town so that customers can take a printed map to the cemetery with them. We also perform security checks and scheduled backups of their data.
