My very first web GIS project was for an end-of-term assignment in an “Introductory to GIS” course at Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ during the Fall of 2010. I was making a living by tutoring math and doing a work trade at the road runner hostel. We often had travelers coming to visit on a budget, so i decided i wanted to make a web-based map of public art in town. I joined forced with Jerry Peek of the Tucson Murals Blog to create a web map showing all of the public art in Tucson, AZ. I keep the original web map up online for days i’m resisting the gap between my talent and my taste.
